Lee Tomlin and Costel Pantilimon have both proven that they would be excellent permanent additions to Nottingham Forest’s squad.

Tomlin and Pantilimon moved to the City Ground on loan in the January transfer window, and the pair have both played important roles ever since signing up.

The printed edition of today’s Daily Mirror [March 22nd, page 62], now says that Forest will make a move to sign the duo on permanent deals.

And Forest fans have already seen evidence that the double-swoop could rank among their most exciting summer transfers.

Tomlin has provided Forest with a touch of class going forward, with his creativity coming to the fore.

The Cardiff City man has chipped in with three goals and two assists in eight appearances, and his play making qualities have been clear to see.

Pantilimon, meanwhile, has been rock solid in goal – and looks to be a stand out player at Championship level.

Forest are unbeaten in their last seven matches, with Tomlin and Pantilimon a major reason behind that.

And if Aitor Karanka could add the pair to his squad, it would be a wonderful start to Forest’s transfer dealings.
