The Chelsea prospect is reportedly set to join Newcastle United on loan.

Newcastle United have reportedly already secured their first signing of the January transfer window by agreeing to bring in Kenedy on loan from Chelsea.
The Brazilian, who can play as a left-back or a left winger, was the subject of strong interest from Newcastle in the summer, but this time the deal will go ahead, as reported by the Daily Mail.
It is clear that bringing in Kenedy represents something of a risk for Newcastle given that the 21-year-old has been unable to make much of an impact during his time at Chelsea, but he could prove to be a worthwhile addition at St James’ Park.

Left-back has been a problem position for Newcastle all season, with Javier Manquillo having to fill in there, and Kenedy would relish the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League, something which wasn’t the case during his loan spell with Watford last season, which was plagued by injury.
A skillful and direct player, Kenedy may also help significantly with regards to Newcastle’s attacking momentum, and it is evident that Newcastle need as much assistance as possible in that regard.

Having been a fringe player for Chelsea in the first half of the season, Kenedy will be determined to prove a point if he does join Newcastle and he could well help the Magpies to preserve their Premier League status.
