Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa appears to want to bring a new goalkeeper to Elland Road this summer.

Leeds are reportedly looking to take Blackman on loan for the season, but by bringing him in they would only be blocking their own youngster’s progress.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell showed great potential towards the end of last season, when he broke into Leeds’ first-team.

However, by bringing Blackman in, they would be showing more willingness to develop another side’s youngster, rather than their own.
Blackman may be a strong option at Championship level, but Leeds may only get to keep him for a season, before he returns to Chelsea.

Peacock-Farrell, in the meantime, would lose a season of football, where he could have been featuring for Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team, and that could be majorly detrimental to his development.
And Leeds need to think long and hard about whether Blackman is enough of an upgrade on Peacock-Farrell to warrant making such a transfer this summer.
