Arsenal and Newcastle fans praised Aaron Ramsey after he scored a brace for Wales during their 5-1 win against Belarus in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

Ever since the 30-year-old left Arsenal for Juventus in 2019, his game time has been very limited, and in truth, his career has stagnated at the wrong time.

That is why there is the suggestion that the now big pockets of Newcastle want to bring him back to the Premier League.

After watching him in action yesterday, the Toon Army faithful backed that idea because they feel he could lift their midfield.

On the other hand, Arsenal fans were just reminiscing about the quality he has at his feet and what he can do when playing on a regular basis.

With the 2022 World Cup around the corner, Ramsey needs to re-think his future plans.

If Wales earn their plane ticket to Qatar, then Ramsey can’t be preparing for that by warming Juventus’s bench.

So, whilst the goalscoring midfielder wouldn’t want to swap Champions League football for no European football, it’s still worth a try if you are in Newcastle’s boardroom.

Perhaps that could happen in January, but either way, he is still showing the footballing world what he is capable of.

This was a highly-pressured game for Wales, in their quest to reach Qatar, and Ramsey eased those nerves inside two minutes by opening the scoring, before Rob Page’s men ran riot throughout the 9 minutes.

But an interesting few transfer windows await Ramsey because he has to either earn those minutes in Turin.

Or head for the exit door and admit that it just didn’t work out in the famous colours of the Black and White.

Here is a selection of Arsenal and Newcastle fans reacting to Ramsey’s display.
