Lyon star is Arsenal’s best option if Sanchez and Ozil depart.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir.
The Gunners are preparing a £60 million bid for the French midfielder and are confident of finalising the deal, as reported by the Daily Star.
If the move did go ahead then it could well pave the way for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal, with the pair nearing the end of their current contracts and yet to agree new deals.

Losing two players of the quality of Sanchez and Ozil, on top of Arsenal’s many other issues, would undoubtedly represent a major blow for the club but, at this juncture at least, their departures appear rather inevitable.
Signing Fekir, who has made a scintillating start to the season that has seen him score eleven goals in as many Ligue 1 games, would certainly go some way towards softening the blow.

There is also the additional benefit that, if he was to join Arsenal Fekir would be reunited with striker Alexandre Lacazette, with whom he dovetailed so effectively at Lyon.
Of all the options available to Arsenal to potentially replace Ozil and Sanchez, Fekir appears the best choice and it seems that there is a genuine chance of the deal taking place.
