Leeds United have been linked with making a move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

If Leeds United do sign Danny Ings it could signal that Thomas Christiansen is planning a formation change at Elland Road.
Leeds have generally operated with a 4-2-3-1 system so far this season, with Christiansen preferring to pack the midfield and dominate possession.
However, if Ings signs from Liverpool it is difficult to see him sitting on the substitutes’ bench at Leeds.

ESPN have suggested that the Whites want to snap up Ings from the Anfield club.
Ings will surely come straight into Leeds’ starting line-up, and that could hand Christiansen the opportunity to look towards utilising a formation which includes two strikers.
Ings could work well in tandem with Pierre Michel Lasogga, as the pair have skill-sets which would complement each other well.

Lasogga is a dominant threat in the air, while Ings prefers to run in behind and use his pace.
And the pairing could rank among the Championship’s most exciting strike-forces, if Leeds do manage to complete the signing of Ings in the January transfer window.
