With the transfer window closing tonight, Crystal Palace are looking to improve their attacking options and have turned their attention to Midtjylland’s Alexander Sorloth.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Palace are eager to secure a deal for Sorloth, who has been in prolific form this season and is valued at around £8 million.

Sorloth, who can play up front or on either flank, has produced some excellent performances for Midtjylland this season and has impressed with both his prowess in front of goal and his linkup play.

The Norway international has scored 15 goals in 26 games across all competitions, while he has also provided nine assists.

At the age of 22, Sorloth has time on his side to improve even further, while he is also excellent aerially, making the most of his height to win many headers.

Sorloth may lack experience of Premier League football but the performances that he has produced for Midtjylland indicate that he is a player worth taking a chance on.

Palace’s need for more goals is all too apparent, with Luka Milivojevic, a defensive midfielder, their current top scorer this season with just five goals.

Sorloth would be an intriguing signing and could well prove to be a useful option for Roy Hodgson’s side if the deal does go ahead.
