Southampton are reportedly keen on the Fulham striker.

According to a report from the Express, Southampton are preparing a £30 million summer bid for Fulham hitman Aleksandar Mitrovic, and if they are successful in their pursuit of the Serbian, he really would be a superb addition to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
The Saints just about managed to avoid relegation this season, but it is clear to see that Hasenhuttl needs to bolster his attacking ranks this summer, if his side are to push for a top 10 finish next term.
And Mitrovic would be just the ticket for Southampton.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for Fulham this season, scoring 11 goals in 36 Premier League appearances, and he is already an established top flight striker.
Mitrovic would act as a fantastic focal point for Southampton to build their attacks though, and he would offer Hasenhuttl something that he doesn’t currently have at his disposal at St Mary’s.
The Fulham hitman might also bring out the best in the south coast club’s other attacking players, what with his ability to play with his back to goal and link up play between midfield and attack.

The 47-capped Serbia international is big and strong, and would offer the Saints an aerial threat through the middle.
Whilst £30 million seems like a lot of money, in today’s day and age it would actually represent decent value, and if Southampton do manage to sign him, it could turn out to be a really significant piece of business for the south coast club.
