Swansea have been linked with Emmanuel Adebayor but it is a transfer they should avoid.
Emmanuel Adebayor looks dejected after missing a chance to score for Crystal Palace
Emmanuel Adebayor may be a proven Premier League striker but he is no longer the sort of player Swansea City should be targeting.
According to the Mirror the Welsh side are considering a move for Adebayor, who is currently in Turkey with Istanbul Basaksehir after joining them in January.

The deal would see Bafetimbi Gomis – who spent 2016/17 on loan at Marseille and is understood not to have a future with the Swans – go in the other direction.
Yet while previous spells with Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur has proven Adebayor is among the most prolific scorers in the English top flight over the past decade (with 97 league goals), he is no longer the superpower in attack he once was.
A dismal six-month spell at Crystal Palace in 2016 proved that, with the Togo international scoring just once in 15 matches for the South London side.

Adebayor has further marred that time but publicly claiming joining the Eagles was the “worst decision of his career”, suggesting his priorities perhaps lie with himself rather than any potential new team.
That is not to mention the fact that the attacker is now 33-years-old and hardly represents a signing for the future at the Liberty Stadium, plus his wage demands would probably exceed the average paid out by Swansea.
