Tottenham Hotspur have in recent days been linked with a summer move for Turkish sensation Abdulkadir Omur.

Omur is a big talent who has recently broken into Trabzonspor’s first team.

The 18-year-old has scored twice and provided four assists already this season and is living up to high billing.

Omur has been compared to Gheorge Hagi in style, and even dubbed the Turkish Messi, UEFA’s official website reported.

Tottenham moving for Omur would be their chance to make up for missing out on one of Turkey’s top talents last summer.

Spurs were linked with Istanbul Basaksehir’s Cengiz Under, another teenager who lit up the Super Lig last season, with Turkish outlet Ajanspor reporting a move was close.

Tottenham hesitated and were beaten to his signature by Roma, and after a slow start he is proving a major asset for the Giallorossi.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals in his last six games, including a strike in the Champions League against Shakhtar.

It certainly seems as though Spurs missed out on Under, and moving for Omur would be an instant way to correct that spurned opportunity.
