West Ham United should consider a move for the Manchester City flop.

West Ham boss David Moyes will have a lot of work on his hands this summer, if he is to build a squad who are capable of making a sustained push for the Europa League spots next season.
One particular area of the Scot’s squad that needs addressing is his centre-half department, with James Collins entering the twilight of his career, Winston Reid proving to be unreliable from a fitness perspective, and more experienced cover required for 19-year-old Declan Rice.
With this in mind, the Hammers should make a move for Manchester City ace Eliaquim Mangala, who is available on a free transfer this summer.

The France international joined City from Porto in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £32 million, but he struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Etihad.
He has spent two separate loan spells away from Manchester at Valencia and Everton respectively, but it was only in Spain where he was given a real opportunity to showcase his talents.
Whilst he has struggled to adapt to life in England, if given the platform from which to play regularly at West Ham, he could prove to be a really shrewd signing for the Hammers.

Mangala is more than capable, and possesses all of the attributes needed to be a success in England. He just needs to be at a club where he is appreciated.
The Hammers will not have things all their own way if they wish to sign the Frenchman, however, with Wolves currently leading the race for his signature, according to the Irish Sun.
West Ham have plenty of financial muscle, though, and if they do manage to win the race for Mangala’s services, he could turn out to be a real asset for them.
