The Brentford playmaker is out of contract in the summer.
Brentford’s Alan Judge
Nottingham Forest are clearly going through a stage of transition at present. The club are still without a permanent manager after the sacking of Frenchman Philippe Montanier but are making moves toward the future.
One of those is the appointment of a new director of football. A week ago Forest appointed former Rangers and Brentford man Frank McParland in the role.
So, should he make a move for a brilliant free agent this summer, who he has signed before?
The player in question is Republic of Ireland international Alan Judge.
McParland brought him to Brentford from Blackburn Rovers, initially on loan, in 2014 and he went on to become a star at Griffin Park.
The 28-year-old was one of the best players in the Championship in 2014-15 and started last season in similar form, until a sickening leg break last April.

He is now approaching his return to first-team action but is expected to leave Brentford on a free transfer this summer.
Forest now have an upper hand in any negotiations for the player, considering the links with McParland and the rumours that former Bees boss Mark Warburton may be in line for the Forest hotseat.
He also has fond memories in Nottingham, after a successful stint at Notts County earlier in his career.
Forest might have the perfect replacement for Henri Lansbury if they can tie up such a deal.
