Saido Berahino could trump Mario Balotelli this weekend as West Brom go to Liverpool in the Premier League.

This weekend presents another chance to put the magnifying glass over £16 million Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
The visit of West Brom to Anfield presents a good comparison between the Italian international and England under-21 star Saido Berahino, who has impressed for the Baggies this season.
The immediate stat which jumps out is that Berahino has scored more goals than Balotelli with fewer attempts on goal.
Balotelli is yet to register his first goal in the Premier League for the Reds, which is an area that Brendan Rodgers will already be working hard to improve in training at Melwood.
Balotelli is also ahead in terms of being dispossessed a lower number of times while Berahino has a higher number of accurate passes and touches, which suggests he’s getting involved more in games.
However, those differences can be explained by the fact Balotelli has played fewer matches following his summer move from AC Milan.
Stats are always a bit difficult when trying to assess Balotelli because Liverpool fans know exactly what they’re getting; if he’s in the mood, a world class player, if he’s not in the mood, a frustrating figure.
If Berahino can edge out Balotelli in the key stats battle between the pair this weekend, the Baggies should have achieved a positive result by the end of the match.
