Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they’ve been in contact with Joaquin Correa’s agent about a potential summer move.
The Argentine has also been linked to Arsenal.
Spurs have been linked with a number of Serie A players since the arrival of Fabio Paratici, and after Nuno Espirito Santo finally took over as the club’s new manager, they can now press on with any transfer dealings.
So, would Correa be a good signing? Well, he’s an Argentina international, so he certainly has a lot of quality, but as an attacker, his goalscoring record leaves a lot to be desired.
Indeed, Correa only scored eight Serie A goals last term, but that hasn’t stopped some Spurs fans from getting excited about this potential move.
However, others weren’t as keen to see him brought in. One fan claimed that Mikkel Damsgaard would be the better signing, while another said that Correa was nothing but a more pacy version of Erik Lamela.
