Leeds fans have been calling for former Manchester United captain to sign up.

French left-back Patrice Evra has been suspended by Ligue 1 club Marseille, potentially facing the sack.
Evra signed with Marseille in January and it appears his spell there will be short lived.
Even at 36, he is in demand, and fans of English Championship side Leeds United have already been calling on the club to sign him up.
This all comes despite Evra’s connections to Leeds’ bitter rivals Manchester United, where he won multiple trophies including thr 2008 Champions League and captained the club.
A move to Leeds is unlikely though, and Evra faces a potential ban by UEFA. Eric Cantona’s kick at a supporter in 1995 led to a suspension of 8 months.

What the comments do underline is a growing dissatisfaction with the left-back situation at Elland Road.
Charlie Taylor left the club in the summer and Gaetano Berardi has missed most of the season through injury or suspension.
Neither Vurnon Anita or loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson look like being long-term answers there either.
Evra would too be a short term stop gap whose wages Leeds couldn’t afford, but signing a player who can give them a boost in the position in January would be a smart move for a team currently in freefall after an excellent start to the season.
