Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited over links that they are pushing hard for Ollie Watkins.
The Daily Mirror suggests that Tottenham are keen on the Brentford striker, as they look to improve their attacking options for the new campaign.
Watkins would come in as back-up to Harry Kane, and many Tottenham fans think that he would be ideal as a covering option.
Watkins blasted in 26 goals at Championship level last term, so Tottenham fans’ desire to see him signed is understandable.
Although Watkins would be making a step up by moving to Spurs, he seems ready to make an impact at the top level now.
Mourinho’s side found out just how badly they needed a back-up option up-front with Kane and Heung-Min Son got injured at the same time last season.
Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn led the line for Spurs, but both were fairly ineffective, and getting a deal for a new number nine will surely be a priority for Tottenham over the rest of the transfer window.
