Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to Paolo Maldini claiming that Franck Kessie won’t be going anywhere this summer.
The box-to-box midfielder has been the subject of Premier League interest, including those in the Tottenham boardroom.
But AC Milan director, Maldini, has told DAZN that one of their prized-assets will ‘stay’ put in Milan.
He claimed: “Franck Kessie will stay as he’s part of our future. We are working hard to extend his contract.”
Spurs fans aren’t too fussed with the Italian legends comments because some have pointed out that centre-back is the priority.
Whilst another fan wants the Serie A club to instead take Serge Aurier off their books because there is rumoured interest.
Either way, with Kessie’s name seemingly off the list, it’s going to be interesting to see if Spurs do still dip for a midfielder this summer because they need one.
A more creative and forward-thinking player is needed, someone to compliment the midfield aggressor and hard-hitting, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
But it seems as though Kessie won’t be one of those players.
