Rangers midfielder impressed in FA Cup clash.
Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty scored one of the best goals of his career last night in the FA Cup.
Docherty is on loan at English club Shrewsbury Town and is really impressing.
He scored a terrific goal this week as Shrewsbury beat Salford 3-1 to reach the second round.
Rangers supporters are keen for the club to recall Docherty in January. They are not the only ones impressed.
Shrewsbury fans want Docherty to stay, and while there is an acceptance the club won’t be able to sign him permanently, there is a strong desire for him to fulfil his loan until the end of the season.
Rangers could benefit from recalling Docherty, but there is an argument to be made to keep him where he is, despite his strong form.
Docherty is playing regularly and is all the better for it.
It may be better for his Rangers career for the club to let him continue where he is, and then rejoin the club in pre-season.
Shrewsbury supporters would certainly back this…
