‘Showing up our team’: Some fans hail loaned-out Tottenham teen after ‘MOTM’ performance

There is something about Tottenham midfielders thriving out on loan this season.

Whilst a certain Oliver Skipp continues to rip it up at Norwich, his fellow academy product, Harvey White is doing the same at Portsmouth.

On Tuesday night, the Tottenham teen was handed his first full debut by manager Kenny Jackett and he marked the occasion by scoring the only goal of the game.

It delighted the Portsmouth supporters, who waxed lyrical about the 19-year-old’s performance.

White played the entire 90 minutes for the League One side, as they secured a crucial three points against in-form Oxford.

It pushes Jackett’s side into the top-four and sets the challenge for White to play his part in pushing the South Coast side back towards the Championship.

Following that performance yesterday, some of the Pompey faithful will now like to see Tottenham’s rising star handed back-to-back starts ahead of Saturday’s game against Gillingham.

It will be interesting to see if his manager puts that extra pressure and expectation on his shoulders, and in truth, he should because that’s why he is out on loan.
