Andy Walker was not pleased with Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain’s reaction, after he made an error late on against Rangers, as per his comments live on Sky Sports.

Bain actually had a fairly quiet afternoon in Celtic’s goal, but he had a nervy moment in the final few minutes.

The Bhoys stopper went to kick the ball clear, but his kick only hit Stephen Welsh.

Thankfully for Celtic, the rebound deflected straight back to Bain and no damage was done.

But Walker felt that the Celtic goalkeeper was wrong to be laughing about what could have been a fatal error, in the context of the game.

“He shouldn’t be laughing Scott Bain,” Walker said. “He’s got to clear that. I mean he hits it off Stephen Welsh. That could easily end up in the back of the net.”

If Celtic had lost to Rangers yesterday it would have been harsh on John Kennedy’s side, who put in a much improved display.

The Bhoys arguably had the better of the game, but they couldn’t convert their opportunities, as Rangers continued their unbeaten record in the league.
