
Arsenal fans on Twitter have been left frustrated and angry that Kieran Tierney has had to self-isolate whilst on international duty with Scotland.
The news broke on Wednesday afternoon, and in truth, it drew a bit of criticism and confusion because Tierney hasn’t actually tested posted for the virus.
Stuart Armstrong was the one who tested positive, but it was deemed by the Lothian Health Protection Team in Scotland that Tierney was one of four people who was in ‘close contact’ with the Southampton player.
As a result, it means that Tierney will have to self-isolate for 14 days (from October 6) and, as things stand, he will miss Arsenal’s Premier League encounter against Manchester City on October 17.
But Arsenal have released a statement of their own on their official website by claiming that Tierney, 23, was socially distancing from Said player in question and, as a result, broke no rules.
All in all, it hasn’t sat well with the Arsenal fans who cannot understand why international matches are being played during this period.

Added with the confusing rules, from Liverpool players not having to self-isolate when Sadio Mane and Thiago tested positive, it’s something which is not sitting well with those in North London.
It remains to be seen as to what happens from here on in, but Arsenal fans are annoyed that such a situation could have been avoided and they are now set to lose a key player.
