‘Shouldn’t be anywhere near him’: Spurs fans rage over who Paratici wants

Tottenham are reportedly one of many British clubs interested in signing OGC Nice talent Deji Sotona in January.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs, as well as the likes of Chelsea and Celtic, are keen on bringing the 19-year-old winger back to the United Kingdom.

Sotona came through at Manchester United’s academy before making the move to Nice in 2020. The winger was part of the same group that featured the likes of Mason Greenwood and

Despite being a Republic of Ireland youth international, the youngster is yet to play a first-team minute for Nice. And now, it appears that the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea will do battle for Sotona’s signature next month.

An attacker who is noted for his pace, interest in Sotona seems to be peculiar given the player’s age and lack of first-team experience for Nice over the past 18 months.

Indeed, the fact that clubs as big as Spurs and Celtic are interested in the Waterford-born winger speaks volumes on how much potential the attacker has.

However, Tottenham fans on social media are not sold on the prospect of signing Sotona in January. At 19, the forward is yet to play a professional game, and Spurs have younger players on their books who have already played minutes this season.
