The Everton striker could be a useful addition for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will surely be looking to bolster his ranks at Molineux before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.
One particular area where the Portuguese will surely want to strengthen is his attacking department, what with his side’s tally of just 27 goals scored in 23 Premier League games thus far being the worst total out of all the teams inside the top 12 of the division.
With this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider making a move for Everton flop Cenk Tosun.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees from Besiktas in January last year, for around £27 million, but he has struggled to establish himself in England.
He surely still has a lot more to offer, however, and he could be a useful addition for Wolves.
Tosun does most of his work in and around the penalty box, and his goal-poaching style is exactly what the Nuno’s side currently lack.
Wolves have plenty of strikers who thrive on running the channels, including Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota, but they seem to lack a clinical finisher.
The Turkey international has banged in 147 goals in 356 career appearances, and a move to Molineux might be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his flagging career.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton are willing to give up on Tosun already, and are prepared to sell the striker for around £20 million.
Whilst that would represent a fairly significant outlay for Wolves, it could end up being money well spent, and despite the obvious risk involved, Nuno should consider taking a punt on the Turkish hitman.
