It is a forward who is more familiar to English football fans having been on the books at Newcastle United for three years. That man is Siem de Jong.

De Jong arrived at St James’ Park in the summer of 2014 with a great reputation having scored 78 goals in 244 appearances for Ajax, but things never worked out for the 28-year-old on Tyneside as injuries hindered his time there.
The Netherlands international was loaned to PSV last term before returning to the Amsterdam Arena over the summer and has hit the ground running with six strikes in seven matches.
It may not have been the happiest of times for De Jong in England last time, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t still be a success in the country and perhaps the Magpies’ loss could be Wolves’ gain?
