Should Wolves consider Joe Bryan?
Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to be in the market for a left-back, despite the fact Barry Douglas was key in them winning the Championship last season and Ruben Vinagre has recently made his loan move form Monaco permanent.
Yet despite that the Daily Mail claim that Wolves have joined the race to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic – one which Everton currently appear to be winning with a £25m pricetag being mooted.
While the newly promoted Premier League side have the funds to meet the Hoops’ valuation, it is considered unlikely that Tierney would choose a move to Molineux when the Toffees are also on offer.
It means that if the West Midlands side do want to improve on the left side of defence then they may have to look elsewhere and the ideal candidate may have just become available.
According to Bristol Live, both Leeds United and Middlesbrough are interested in signing Joe Bryan from Bristol City with the 24-year-old having entered the final year of his current contract at Ashton Gate.
Valued at £10m a year ago by Robins owner Steve Lansdown, it’s now believed Bryan could leave for less than that because of fears he can go for free in 12 months time.
Fulham, who were promoted alongside Wolves, are also thought to be keeping tabs on the full-back but the chance to play under Nuno Espirito Santo in an exciting team could be the most tempting offer yet for the Englishman.
