After his goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup, Andreas Weimann has been impressing Wolverhampton Wanderers fans since his arrival at Molineux.
Since the arrival of Paul Lambert and Molineux, Wolverhampton Wanderers are enduring a slow and steady turnaround. Replacing long-term manager Kenny Jackett in the summer with Italian boss Walter Zenga, Wolves suffered a poor start to the season, but since the arrival of former Blackburn and Norwich manager Lambert, the club are seemingly back on track.
Perhaps the best change Lambert has been able to make since taking over the reigns, is turning Wolves back into a place where players want to come. During the January transfer window, Wolves signed Blackburn’s Ben Marshall on a permanent deal, as well as Benfica’s Helder Costa, who was on loan with the club. This kind of promising acquisition will hold Wolves in good stead for a promotion push next season.

Wolves also brought in Derby County forward Andreas Weimann on loan until the end of the season. The forward, who can play as both a winger and a striker, was struggling for game-time at Pride Park, and has decided to try and jumpstart his form under Lambert, who he played under at Aston Villa.
Since arriving to the club, Weimann has impressed Wolves fans. Against Liverpool in the FA Cup, Weimann did an excellent job of running the lines, and took his chance beautifully when gifted it, rounding the keeper to score Wolves’ second goal.

Suiting Lambert’s 4-2-3-1 system perfectly, could Weimann be a perfect permanent addition for Wolves in the summer? The forward is competing behind four other wingers at Derby County, including Tom Ince, Johnny Russell and Nick Blackman, so could well be available.
With his form improving under Lambert, a manager who clearly knows how to get the best out of the player, Andreas Weimann is looking like another excellent Wolves loan signing. Could he become the next to go from loan to permanent at Molineux?
