West Ham United have been linked with the Arsenal man for a considerable amount of time now.

West Ham United have been linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for some time now, but this summer could be their best chance to finally land the Arsenal midfielder.

Reports in the Times have suggested that Oxlade-Chamberlain has grown frustrated at Arsenal in recent times.

Although Arsene Wenger denied that the England international is frustrated at the Emirates Stadium, there is a feeling he could be made available in the summer.

And West Ham should be ready to swoop to bring Oxlade-Chamberlain to the London Stadium.

The former Southampton man has not quite fulfilled his potential at Arsenal, but he has shown flashes of quality.

In recent weeks, Oxlade-Chamberlain has arguably been Arsenal’s best player, when deployed in a central midfield role.

A move to West Ham would allow him to play in his favoured position more often, and his arrival would be a statement of intent for Slaven Bilic’s side.

West Ham brought in a host of players last summer from across Europe, but many of them flopped, as their inexperience of English football showed.

The hope is that West Ham have learnt from his error, and will target players with more knowledge of the Premier League in the build up to next season.

And if there is a chance that they could complete a deal for Oxlade-Chamberlain, he should be the first name on Bilic’s wishlist.
