West Ham United are said to be interested in snapping up Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheancho.

West Ham United may still have a trump card to play, if they want to sign Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City this summer.

The Hammers are reportedly interested in Iheanacho but they have struggled to find an agreeable price with City, according to the Daily Telegraph.

City want a buy-back clause inserted into any deal for Iheanacho, and that has put West Ham off.

However, Slaven Bilic may just have one more card to play, if he does want to bring Iheanacho to the London Stadium.

City are known to be looking for new full-backs, and Aaron Cresswell may just be an expendable player for the Hammers this summer.

Cresswell is an excellent talent, of that there is no doubt.

However, during his time on the sidelines last season, Arthur Masuaku looked more than capable of stepping up and performing regularly in West Ham’s first-team.

Masuaku had a shaky start to life at the London Stadium, but grew into his role and showed a lot of promise.

It means that letting go of Cresswell may not be too much of a blow for West Ham, and he could fit in well at City.

Pep Guardiola is known to be targeting English players, and Cresswell has the attacking qualities to thrive in City’s side.

As a result, a trade which involves swapping Cresswell and Iheanacho could suit all parties – and it is a deal which Bilic should seriously considering offering, if the Nigerian forward is one of his top targets.
