Bilic oversaw the Hammers’ fourth successive Premier League defeat on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at Hull.

Slaven Bilic admits that he expects more speculation concerning his future as West Ham United manager following his side’s 2-1 defeat at Hull City.

It was the Hammers’ fourth successive Premier League loss and extends a winless streak that stretches back to a 3-1 victory at Southampton on February 4.

It is a run of form that has seen West Ham plummet to 14th in the table and Bilic knows that many are starting to question whether he is the right man for the job.

“The only way you can stop the speculation is if you win games or get a point or climb up the table,” the Croatian was quoted by the Evening Standard.

“After four defeats of course I can expect even more speculation, but as I said I wasn’t worried before and I’m not worried now.”

It has been a difficult second season for Bilic after an impressive debut in English management in 2015/16 that saw the East London side finish seventh in the table.

They have struggled at their new home, the London Stadium, with only four other teams picking up less points on their own turf, while their best player in Dimitri Payet left for Marseille and transfer policy has been questioned.

Now the Hammers’ hierarchy need to decide whether this stutter is down to Bilic and therefore a change is needed, or if his success last term affords the 48-year-old more time, with vice-chairman Karren Brady having recently given him the dreaded vote of confidence.
