Leicester City are reportedly willing to sell Islam Slimani for £18million, so should West Ham United revive their interest from January?

Leicester City are willing to accept £18million for Islam Slimani, reports the Leicester Mercury, as they look to get the striker permanently off their books.
This would see them make a significant loss on the £30million club record fee they paid Sporting for Slimani just two years ago.

However, the Foxes reportedly do not see the 30-year-old in their long-term plans and the Algeria international’s former club are among a trio interested in signing him, alongside Turkish sides Besiktas and Fenerbahce.
While the English transfer window closes on August 9, these three can still make signings until August 31 and therefore have a few more weeks to make a move for Slimani.
Should West Ham revive interest?
West Ham United showed interest in Slimani in January and made an enquiry about signing the forward, but the Mirror reported at the time that this was rejected because of what Hammers vice-chair Karren Brady had written about Leicester sacking Claudio Ranieri as manager in her Sun column.

The Algerian went on to join Newcastle United in what turned out to be an unsuccessful loan spell, but perhaps there is now a chance for West Ham to renew their interest.
Whether the Foxes would do business with the East London club six months on is debatable, but this could prove to be a great opportunity for them.
