West Ham United allegedly wanted the Birmingham City hitman last month.

Manuel Pellegrini the head coach

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will surely be desperate to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Javier Hernandez was linked with a move away from the Hammers last month, with the Mirror reporting that he was close to joining Valencia, and it would be no surprise to see him move on at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Andy Carroll will be out of contract in four months time, and who knows where Marko Arnautovic will be plying his trade at the start of next season.

Bearing all of these factors in mind, West Ham should consider a move for Birmingham City hitman Che Adams – a striker who they were interested in signing last month, according to the Daily Star.

The 22-year-old is thought to be interesting numerous Premier League cubs including Tottenham and Everton, according to Teamtalk, and Birmingham allegedly value the striker at around £20 million.

Adams has been on fire this season, scoring 19 goals in 32 Championship appearances for the Blues, and he would be a superb addition for West Ham.

He possesses bliserting pace, and plays with a certain kind of energy and enthusiasm that would make him an instant hit at the London Stadium.

The Birmingham ace is also at an age where he hasn’t even hit his prime years yet, and he would surely improve further still under the guidance of Pellegrini.

And for the reported fee of £20 million, West Ham cannot afford to miss out on Adams.
