West Ham United will be busy in the January transfer window and have long been linked with an on-off move for William Carvalho.

West Ham have turned a corner under David Moyes but need to ensure they pick up the wins needed to secure Premier League survival.
The Hammers will be busy in January with co-owner David Sullivan pledging at least two or three arrivals and Moyes admitting the midfield area needs strengthening.
Sporting Lisbon and Portugal star William Carvalho has long been linked with a move to East London.
Speculation was reignited recently when West Ham and Sporting put their frosty relationship to bed after a very public fallout over the transfer during the summer.

Carvalho would likely cost West Ham a record fee and may take time to adjust to the rough and tumble of the fiercely competitive Premier League.
So should the Hammers heed the advice of former boss Sam Allardyce and move for Steven N’Zonzi at Sevilla.
Back in 2012 Allardyce, had just taken over in East London when Tony Pulis revealed he had played a huge part in N’Zonzi signing for Stoke City.
“Big Sam gave Steven a real big drum roll,” Pulis told ESPN at the time.
“It was just after he (Allardyce) had left Blackburn. He said he could be a very good player. We chased him down.”

N’Zonzi was sold to La Liga side Sevilla where he helped the club win the Europa League.
N’Zonzi knows the Premier League inside out and is a player in a similar mould to Carvalho.
Arsenal are said to be interested and the Frenchman would likely cost West Ham less than Carvalho so it could be a move that suits all parties.
