David Wagner, manager of Huddersfield Town, looks on prior to the Premier League match against Burnley.
Huddersfield Town are closing in on a deal to sign Terence Kongolo on loan from Monaco, manager David Wagner has admitted.

“This is nothing I can seriously answer, but we are close and hopefully we can get it over the line.”
Porto’s Jesus Corona (L) vies with Monaco defender Terence Kongolo during their UEFA Champions League group G football match.
The elder brother of Manchester City’s Rodney, Kongolo has struggled for game time at the Stade Louis II following a summer switch from boyhood club Feyenoord.
Since his move to the Principality, the defender has made six first team appearances, all of which have come at left-back despite his preference to play centrally.
It is this versatility and ability on the ball that has made Kongolo an attractive prospect for the Terriers, but should West Ham United have considered competing with their Premier League rivals for the 23-year-old?
David Moyes, manager of West Ham United, looks on prior to the Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth.
They are too are in the market for a new centre-back and have been heavily linked with Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson, although the Sun reports there could be a problem there with the Welsh side wanting £40m for the former Barnsley man.
With David Moyes have shifted between three and four-man defences during his time as manager at the London Stadium, Kongolo has the ability to slot into the left side of either.
