The Tottenham Hotspur man could be a useful addition to the West Ham United squad, despite his poor form this season.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has a lot of work to do this summer, as he looks to build a squad capable of making a sustained challenge for the Europa League spots.
Last summer’s transfer activity at West Ham left a lot to be desired, and whether the Croatian or the board was to blame is ultimately irrelevant, as long as everyone involved with the club makes a concerted effort to make amends this time around.
One particular area where the east London outfit need to improve is the midfield department, especially after Mark Noble’s noticeable regression during this season just gone.
With this in mind, the Hammers should consider challenging Marseille for the signature of Spurs flop Moussa Sissoko.

According to the Mirror, the Ligue 1 side are in pole position to sign the Frenchman, but with no formalities agreed upon yet, West Ham could still enter the race, should they so wish.
The 27-year-old midfielder has ended a torrid time in north London, since joining from Newcastle United for a fee that could rise to £30 million.
Sissoko’s superb form on Tyneside was what convinced Daniel Levy to part with such a vast amount of money, but he just hasn’t hit those heights with the Lilywhites. It could be argued, however, that he has not really been given the opportunity to shine on a regular basis by Mauricio Pochettino.
With just eight Premier League starts under his belt for Spurs, he has found it hard to get into a rhythm of playing, which has led to some incredibly inconsistent form.
The France international could breathe life back into his flagging career with a move to the Hammers, however. His ability to make powerful runs from deep would provide Bilic with a more athletic and energetic feel to his side – something that West Ham desperately need when playing on their huge London Stadium pitch.

Sissoko would also provide healthy competition for Cheikhou Kouyaté. Bilic’s side have become so dependant on the Senegal international that they seem lost when he is unavailable for selection, and the former Newcastle man would be the ideal player to help fill that void.
The one potential stumbling block will be whether West Ham will be prepared to match Marseille’s reported £22 million offer for the Frenchman, after the failed to cover himself in glory this term.
Sometimes in football though, there are opportunities to take calculated risks – ones that can turn out to look like masterstrokes, and this is certainly one of them.
