According to the Metro, Yaya Toure will not be offered a new deal at Manchester City this summer, and West Ham should consider a move for the Ivorian.
The 34-year-old has had a wonderful career during his time in the game, and although he has reportedly been deemed surplus to requirements at City, he still has a lot to offer at the very highest level.
The Metro claims that Toure wants to remain in England, and if offered the opportunity of regular first team football, he could very well be tempted into a switch to the London Stadium.
His wage demands could prove to be a problem for the Hammers, but the fact that he will be available on a free transfer should make him more than affordable for the east Londoners.
Toure is an absolute powerhouse, and would bring some much needed steel into West Ham’s engine room.
He also possesses magnificent technical ability, and a keen eye for a killer pass.
The Ivory Coast international has won almost all there is to win in the game, including two Premier League titles and a Champions League winner’s medal.
Toure would add a certain level of experience and winning mentality that the Hammers have desperately lacked in recent years, and David Moyes should not hesitate to bring him to the London Stadium this summer.
