Celtic are reportedly interested in Manchester City’s Thierry Ambrose but having impressed Manuel Pellegrini before, should West Ham join the chase?

Celtic are interested in signing Manchester City youngster Thierry Ambrose this summer, but according to French publication Onze Mondial face competition from Nice.
Anderlecht and Bordeaux are also understood to have been keeping tabs on Ambrose, who has been impressing in City’s youth setup.

That is where newly appointed Nice manager Patrick Vieira got to know the 21-year-old and having worked together before, that could give the Ligue 1 club the advantage in the race for the forward’s signature.
The Bhoys do have their own history when it comes to signing players from the Etihad Stadium, securing Olivier Ntcham on a permanent deal last summer and Dedryck Boyata in 2015, while Jason Denayer, John Guidetti and Patrick Roberts have all arrived on loan in recent times.
Who else might be interested?
Ambrose didn’t only catch Vieira’s eye during his time with the Citizens, with new West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini also a fan of the Frenchman when he was in charge there.

As the Scotsman reports, Pellegrini invited the attacker to train with the first team as a result, although he is still yet to make an appearance for them, and therefore perhaps the Hammers should join the chase?
Ambrose is unlikely to make an instant impact at West Ham but is certainly a great prospect after scoring 10 goals in 30 Eredivisie appearances while on loan at NAC Breda in 2017/18.
