The player’s agent shared how Arsenal are interested in his client, but West Ham United could be a better fit for the youngster.

The Gunners are interested in signing Turkish youngster Berkay Ozcan, according to his agent, who told Football.London:

“Many top clubs are interested at Berkay. Arsenal has Berkay on its list, but at the moment he is focusing on Stuttgart’s resurgence.”

It is another London club, however, who are more in need of a player with Ozcan’s skill set.

West Ham United have plenty of central midfield options, but they do lack the type of player who can dictate the tempo of the game with a wide array of passing skills.

What with the gradual regression of club captain Mark Noble, the Hammers must be looking to add a ball-playing midfielder to their ranks over the summer.

And the 19-year-old would be the ideal signing.

He is extremely capable with the ball at his feet, and plays in a calm and composed manner when under pressure from the opposition.

The Stuggart man possesses a wonderful range of passing, and has exceptional vision, which helps him link the play between defence and attack.

Whilst he is still young, and has a lot to learn, he could be eased into the West Ham side over the course of the next year or so, and would be able to learn a lot from the likes of Noble.

The one question mark would be whether or not the young Turk possesses the physical attributes required to be a success in the English game.

Slaven Bilic obviously still rates his captain very highly, but if his side are to make genuine progress over the next few seasons, central midfield is certainly an area that needs strengthening, from a play-making perspective at least.

And Ozcan could be just the man to bring a touch of class the the Hammers’ engine room.
