Both West Ham United and Leicester City could benefit by swapping the two stars.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperate to add some firepower to his forward line this summer, but his search has thus far proven to be illusive.
An interesting option for West Ham, and one that has not yet been explored, could be Foxes hitman Islam Slimani, and with Bilic reportedly willing to allow Andy Carroll to leave the London Stadium, according to the Mirror, a straight swap deal could be the ideal outcome for all parties concerned.
The 29-year-old Algerian moved to the King Power Stadium last summer from Sporting Lisbon, but failed to establish himself at Leicester, scoring just seven goals in 23 Premier League outings.

It could be argued that he was never really given a chance though, with 10 of those appearances coming from the substitutes bench, and if offered the opportunity of regular first-team action at the London Stadium, he might just be able to rediscover the form that saw him score 28 goals in 40 outings for Sporting during the 2015/16 campaign.
And Carroll, 28, could have an equally positive impact with the Foxes, if he manages to remain fit for the entire campaign of course.
Both strikers’ games are built around their strength in the air, and the manner in which they bring others into pay with their impressive ability to hold the ball up.
Swapping the two forwards would be a like-for-like trade, and a change of scenery for the pair could bring the best out of both of them.
And it would seemingly be the ideal outcome for all parties concerned.
