Should West Brom rival Swansea for Tottenham starlet Kyle Walker-Peters?

West Bromwich Albion should join their Premier League rivals in the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

According to a report from The Sun, Swansea City are keen on making a loan bid for Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters during the January transfer window as Paul Clement looks to bolster his options to boost their chances of Premier League survival.

Walker-Peters has struggled for game-time at Spurs this season, despite starting and starring in the opening day win over Newcastle, as Mauricio Pochettino added Serge Aurier to his ranks in the summer.

But it could be argued that West Brom should not allow Swansea to sign Walker-Peters uncontested as he would arguably be a good addition to Tony Pulis’ squad during the coming months.

The Baggies are enduring a terrible run of form and are falling towards the relegation zone at an alarming rate having not won in the top flight since August.

One of the players who has arguably been amongst the most underwhelming this term is Allan Nyom, who has really struggled to make an impact at right-back or right wing-back.

Craig Dawson can play on the right-hand side, but Pulis would be foolish to not try and strengthen his options in January, and if Walker-Peters is available, he would arguably be a great signing on a temporary basis.

With a congested path to the Tottenham first-team, he would arrive at The Hawthorns with a real point to prove and the Baggies would undoubtedly be the beneficiaries of that.

He showed against Newcastle in August that the potential is most definitely there, so West Brom should not allow him to head elsewhere without joining the race themselves.
