Could Garry Monk take Swansea City’s Kyle Bartley to West Bromwich Albion if he replaces Alan Pardew?

More and more it’s obvious that West Bromwich Albion will be a Championship club next season.
Alan Pardew’s side are seven points adrift of safety, sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table and the 56-year-old seems to be on the brink of being fired.
Garry Monk was Paddy Power’s favourite to succeed Pardew at West Brom recently, though Marco Silva, at evens, is the new leading candidate in the betting.

Monk wouldn’t be a bad appointment and the 38-year-old – sacked by Middlesbrough in December – came close to guiding Leeds to a playoff spot last season. One player from that side would be a brilliant signing at Albion if they go down: Kyle Bartley.
The Swansea City centre-back, who has made three Premier League appearances this season, reminded everyone of his talent in last night’s FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday, earning a rare 90 minutes.
Relegation would result in West Brom losing Jonny Evans for a meagre £3 million (BBC Sport) and Bartley would be a brilliant replacement.

Monk brought the former Arsenal product to Elland Road in the summer of 2016, having worked with him in South Wales previously, and surely the 26-year-old would be receptive toward a switch to The Hawthorns if his former manager winds up there.
Getting back to the Premier League will be difficult for Albion if they go down, but Bartley would represent a superb start in the rebuilding process.
