West Bromwich Albion should join the cluster of sides interested in Manchester City youngster Javairo Dilrosun.
While West Brom are not mathematically relegated yet, it appears to be inevitable that the Baggies will be playing Championship football next season. And with the squad as it currently is, it will be no easy task trying to get the club back in the Premier League at the first time of asking.
West Brom arguably have a squad that should be good enough to be much better off than they currently are, with Alan Pardew’s side eight points off safety with just eight games remaining.
Nevertheless, the average age of the squad suggests that a rebuilding process needs to be imminent, and relegation to the second tier may be the perfect time to clear out some of the players past their peak and bring in some exciting young players who can develop as the club, hopefully, gets itself back on track.
One player that the Baggies should consider bringing in is Manchester City starlet Javairo Dilrosun, who has a cluster of sides after his signature and may be available for a bargain fee in the summer.
Dilrosun is a Netherlands under-19 international who has provided four assists in 11 Premier League 2 games this season, so could be an exciting addition to West Brom’s wide options which have generally been disappointing this season.
Signing the youngster will not hurt the club’s transfer budget too significantly at all, so there seems to be little risk involved in pursuing a deal, and if he ends up living up to his potential he could prove a sensational signing – which could be exactly what the Baggies need as they likely gear up for a Championship campaign next season.
