Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but West Bromwich Albion may be wondering if they made the right choice when it comes to Salomon Rondon.

The Mirror reports that the striker can leave the Hawthorns for £16.5m if, as expected, they are relegated from the Premier League this season because of a release clause written into his contract.

At that point Rondon had scored seven league goals at the halfway point of the campaign, but would go onto find the back of the next just once more that season.

In fact the 28-year-old’s scoring record for West Brom since joining from Zenit St. Petersburg in 2015 is a rather underwhelming 27 goals in 115 appearances in all competitions and £32m may not seem like such a bad deal anymore.
