Newcastle have reportedly secured Chelsea’s Kenedy on loan but would he actually have been more useful for West Brom?
Newcastle United have sealed a season-long loan deal to sign Kenedy from Chelsea, at least that is what the Mirror is reporting although there is yet to be any official confirmation from either club.
The piece says that Rafa Benitez has used his contacts at Stamford Bridge made during his time as manager of the West London side to complete the move for the left-sided player.

Kenedy can play anywhere on the left flank, with the ability to operate as both a winger and a full-back and that versatility was probably appealing to Benitez as he looks to build a Magpies squad capable of competing in the Premier League following promotion.
However, the 21-year-old could also be exactly what West Bromwich Albion need as boss Tony Pulis desperately tries to bring in recruits during what has been a frustrating summer for the Welshman in the transfer market.
The arrival of Jay Rodriguez from Southampton and loanee Ahmed Hegazy are the only new additions to the first team so far and Pulis currently has no natural left-back at his disposal – with Chris Brunt likely to fill in once again as a result.
Not only that, but out wide the Baggies have question marks over Callum McManaman – who the Birmingham Mail reported in July was likely to leave the Hawthorns – and Nacer Chadli, with the Express claiming the 28-year-old could also depart.
Therefore Kenedy could have been the ideal addition to offer support in two roles and on loan would have represented less of a financial gamble as well.
