The West Ham United striker would be another useful addition to the West Bromwich Albion squad.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis finally got a deal for one of his primary transfer targets over the line yesterday, with the £12 million capture of Jay Rodriguez from Southampton.
West Brom fans will be desperate for their club to continue their business in the transfer market, however, and not rest on their laurels like they have done in previous transfer windows.
There is an undoubted need for more firepower at the Hawthorns, even with the recent acquisition of Rodriguez, and with this in mind, Pulis should consider going back in for Hammers hitman Diafra Sakho, who was close to completing a £16 million switch to the Baggies last summer, before ultimately failing a medical, as reported by the Telegraph.

The lively 27-year-old forward would offer Pulis a different option to the more robust strikers currently at his disposal, and his high energy levels along with his tireless work-rate will surely appeal to the West Brom boss.
West Ham are reportedly willing to sanction the Senegalese’s exit from the club this summer, according to the Mirror, so it shouldn’t prove to be too difficult for the Black Country outfit to sign him, should Pulis make a concrete move for the forward.
One particular area of concern for West Brom, regarding a potential move for Sakho, will be his less than impressive injury record, and Pulis might be adverse to spending heavily on someone who he can’t guarantee will be available to him for the majority of the season.
If the Baggies boss is willing to take a risk though, the Hammers front-man could be just what he needs to help improve upon last season’s 10th placed finish in the Premier League table.
