Everton forward Ademola Lookman could be allowed to leave on loan, so should West Bromwich Albion consider trying to make a move?

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Everton could consider loaning Ademola Lookman out during the final days of the January transfer window.

It has been a frustrating season for the youngster so far. The former Charlton Athletic starlet has made just one Premier League start this term and has accumulated more minutes in his three Europa League games than in his seven top flight appearances.

The Liverpool Echo reports that the Toffees could let the £11 million signing leave on a temporary basis this month. And if that proves to be the case, West Brom should perhaps consider making a move for the 20-year-old.

Alan Pardew is still awaiting his first signing of the window and it appears that loan deals may represent their best chance of getting any business done.

The Baggies have looked a lot better in recent games but still have a lot of work to do before they get themselves out of danger in the Premier League – they currently sit second bottom, three points off safety.

West Brom do have some momentum right now, and bringing players in would be a great way to add to that momentum, so a deal for Lookman, if he is available, should be on their radar.

When he has been given a chance, he has looked exciting and lively and that is the type of player that the teams at the bottom of the table should be fighting over. And his creativity would make him a very welcome addition for a Baggies side that remains one of the lowest-scoring teams in the division.

Lookman would arrive with a real point to prove to his parent club. And based on the glimpses that he has shown during his brief career, pulling off a loan deal could quickly prove to be a masterstroke, so Pardew should not hesitate to get on the phone to Sam Allardyce.
