West Bromwich Albion and Everton could arguably both do with bolstering their defensive options this summer.

With both Everton and West Brom showing a tremendous amount of promise in the Premier League this season, Ronald Koeman and Tony Pulis may be looking to target some fairly ambitious deals during the upcoming transfer window that will ideally take them to the next level.
One player who should arguably be on both clubs’ radar this summer is Augsburg defender Martin Hinteregger, who may perhaps relish the chance to move away from the Bundesliga side after their disappointing season.
Currently, Augsburg sit in the relegation play-off place in the German top flight, but their situation would arguably be a lot bleaker if it wasn’t for the Austria international, who has been very good this term and was arguably their man of the match in their win over Cologne at the weekend.
The 24-year-old appears to have the potential to be a starring centre-back at a much higher level, and therefore, Everton and West Brom should look to hand him the chance to prove that in the coming months.
Both the Toffees’ and the Baggies’ defensive options arguably need bolstering this summer, with Everton’s and West Brom’s main centre-back partnerships this season both boasting a combined age of 66.

Hinteregger can perhaps take inspiration from the likes of 34-year-old Phil Jagielka and 37-year-old Gareth McAuley and spend the next decade at the highest level.
And having already established himself as a regular in the Bundesliga, and on the international stage with Austria – he was part of the squad that went to Euro 2016 – it appears that if he was given the chance to work under someone who had a playing career like Koeman did or someone with the experience that Pulis has, he could surely be the kind of addition that helps either club capitalise on an incredibly promising campaign.
