Everton are said to be interested in the Tottenham Hotspur right-back, but should he leave North London?
Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier in action
Kieran Trippier played the full 90 minutes for Tottenham Hotspur as they beat Watford 4-0, but it was still only the 26-year-old’s seventh Premier League appearance of the season.
With Kyle Walker recognised as one of the finest right-backs in the division, Trippier has often had to make do with being a cup player since joining Tottenham from Burnley in the summer of 2015.
This lack of game time has seen the defender linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, with the Sun claiming Everton are plotting a £12m deal, while Graeme Souness says the Englishman would be a good fit at both Manchester City and Manchester United.
A move away would surely be tempting for Trippier, who has played just 35 times for Tottenham in almost two years at the North London club. Walker is also just five months older, meaning chances are likely to continue to only come about when the England international is injured.

Appearances for the Three Lions should also be a factor in Trippier’s decision. He is yet to receive a senior international cap, something that is unlikely to change without more regular game time.
While Tottenham are a club going places under Mauricio Pochettino, Trippier is treading water and needs to leave if he doesn’t want to waste the prime years of his career.
