Should Tottenham Hotspur compete for the signing of Lukasz Fabianski in spite of his Arsenal history?

It looks like Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski might be on the move this summer.
The former Arsenal man was relegated with Swansea this past season and, according to The Guardian, Newcastle United and West Ham United are interested in the £5 million-rated man.
But why not Tottenham Hotspur?
The 33-year-old may have been the enemy once upon a time following a seven-year spell at Arsenal, but he was never a massive first-team player for the Gunners and therefore probably shouldn’t evoke the same ire among Spurs fans as someone who directly and indirectly plagued them down the years.

Tottenham certainly need a better back-up goalkeeper than Michel Vorm, who turns 35 in October, and Fabianski, who has 43 caps for Poland, is a much better option to compete with and deputise for Hugo Lloris.
As proven in the FA Cup semi-final defeat by Manchester United last month, Vorm cannot be trusted and although Fabianski’s history in the Premier League is hardly unblemished, he has well and truly moved on from the infamous ‘Flappyhandski’ moniker that Arsenal fans once christened him with.
He has been a superb player for Swansea during the past four years for the most part and if his Arsenal past isn’t an issue for Mauricio Pochettino, which it shouldn’t be, then why not?
For £5 million, it makes sense.
