Should Tottenham Hotspur plan for Mousa Dembele’s departure by signing Abdoulaye Doucoure?

Earlier this month it was reported that Mousa Dembele won’t be extending his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to The Sun, the Belgian midfielder isn’t entertaining the idea of staying at Tottenham beyond the end of his current deal, which expires next summer.
With that in mind, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino really needs to find a replacement and should the Argentine look at someone who reportedly interested him during the summer?
Abdoulaye Doucoure is having another excellent season at Watford so far, and played a big role in their 2-0 win at Wolves on Saturday.
The 25-year-old French midfielder shut down Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves with the effectiveness that not many more will manage this season.
Like Dembele, Doucoure, who extended his contract as recently as August, has plenty of physical and technical ability which makes him a dream replacement for the big Tottenham star and Pochettino surely must take another look in January.
He wouldn’t be cheap, with The Mirror pricing him at £40 million, but at 25, the Lilywhites could get a lot of great years out of him.
