Tottenham Hotspur took on Fulham in the FA Cup this weekend and were convincing winners at Craven Cottage.
A hat-trick from Harry Kane did the damage for Sours against their Championship rivals but there were plenty of promising performances in the Tottenham team to comment on.
One such display came from back-up right-back Kieran Trippier. He usually has to play second fiddle to number one choice Kyle Walker but he got his chance in the FA Cup and looked fantastic throughout, both in attack and defence.
By comparison, Ben Davies continues to underwhelm the Tottenham support with his performances.
So could Trippier step in for Danny Rose whilst the England international is injured, or in the future if he needs a rest.

Of course, Trippier is more confident on his right-foot, but his displays have certainly been warranting of more first-team football and he could easily do a job on the left-hand side.
Tottenham fans would love to see him playing on a more regular basis after his recent good form and with Davies struggling to put in consistent displays perhaps the right-back could do a job on the opposite side in the future.
